Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By downloading or using the Offline Survival Kit app ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Educational content — not professional advice

The App provides general educational information, not medical, legal or professional advice. Plant identification, first aid procedures, and survival techniques described in the App are intended as reference material only.

In any emergency or medical situation, contact professional emergency services immediately. Do not rely on the App as a substitute for professional medical care, formal first aid training, or expert botanical identification.

Foraging warning: Never eat a plant or fungus you have not 100% positively identified. Many edible plants have deadly look-alikes. Always consult an experienced expert in person before consuming wild food.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on iOS devices you own or control, subject to Apple's standard terms in the App Store Terms of Service.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except where allowed by law
• Resell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its content
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable law

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, that its content is fully accurate, complete, or current, or that it will be uninterrupted.

Maps are based on OpenStreetMap data and may be incomplete or outdated. GPS accuracy depends on your device and environment.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Buqe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, loss of life, or any decision made based on App content.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

7. Third-party content

The App uses OpenStreetMap tiles (© OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the ODbL) and MapLibre for offline map rendering. Botanical and medical reference content is curated from publicly available sources and reviewed for general accuracy.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
